Change can "alter fundamentally the culture of a place," says Hogan, but he says such changes are often the most important to make.

Hogan says changes like those in the Graduate Assistant funding system will take time but others, like reintegration of the Health Center, have been surprisingly easy.

The way Hogan sees it, "if the University wants to move forward, these changes are going to have to be made."
